Position: Temp to Hire

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday | 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Event Sales Consultant to join our team. This position requires a background in the event industry, with expertise in selling event rentals such as dance floors, stages, tables, linens, and more. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in high-value sales (minimum $500k), experience working in the event, hospitality, or a similar industry, and the ability to manage client relationships from initial inquiry through to event execution. This temp-to-hire role offers the potential for a permanent position based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Development:
    • Sell and promote a wide range of event rental products, including dance floors, tables, linens, staging, and other essential event items.
    • Identify and develop new business opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, and follow-up with prospective clients.
    • Meet or exceed sales targets, ensuring a minimum of $500k in rental sales.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, acting as the main point of contact throughout the sales process.
    • Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products and services to meet their requirements.
    • Provide personalized, high-touch service to clients, ensuring a positive experience and successful event outcomes.
  • Sales Process & Coordination:
    • Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to closing sales and contract negotiations.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of event orders, ensuring that all rental products are delivered on time and to specification.
    • Work closely with event coordinators, operations, and logistics teams to ensure the success of each event.
  • Event Consultation:
    • Offer consultation services to clients, advising them on the best rental options for their specific event needs.
    • Assist clients in creating customized event setups based on their vision, theme, and budget.
  • Administrative & Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales, and follow-up activities using Microsoft Outlook and other systems.
    • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and activity summaries for management as needed.
    • Keep detailed records of contract terms, agreements, and customer specifications.
  • Technology & Tools:
    • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to manage communication, schedules, and reporting.
    • Update and manage client information using CRM software (Salesforce or similar).

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales, ideally in the event rental, hospitality, or related industry (minimum of $500k in sales).
  • Strong understanding of event rental products such as dance floors, tables, staging, and other event-related items.
  • Exceptional client relationship management skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with experience in closing high-value deals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present and negotiate effectively.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce or similar) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of event planning processes and industry trends is a plus.
